Professional Bingley Traditional Roofer with Over 25 Years Experience...

Hi I'm Tony. I live in Bingley & am a local traditional roofer with over 25 years of roofing experience serving both residential & industrial properties. Over the last few years i started to work with my partner Nina & nephew Wayne. My wealth of knowledge and lifetime of experience coupled with Nina's eye for detail and good customer relation skills has been a really good mix and Wayne has been a great back up for us to call upon with bigger jobs. We make a good team as we work well together and love what we do. We have been gradually building things up with a strong focus on becoming a small family business providing high quality roofing services to people within our area. 'Hickey' is my surname but it also means 'Healer' so what better name to call our business then 'Hickey Roofing', aka 'Healer of Roofs!!'

Fibreglass & Lead replacement

This was a new roof we fitted to repair a collapsed roof alongside a beautiful old chimney on a textiles mill by Keighley. We stripped out the old roof, built the sub framework for our new one, boarded area & fibreglassed, finishing by using Rooftex flex as a lead replacement for the original lead work.

Code 4 Leadwork and EPDM Roof

This picture examples work included with a full reroof. We upgraded an old felt flat dormer roof with EPDM, as well as stripping and redoing the slate work using a mix of original and reclaimed slate. To finish we mortared in the lead work and recapped the chimney. Tony is highly skilled at all types of leadwork.

Velux Window installation

This was one of four velux windows we fitted to replace the old ones on a property in Bingley. We also carried out some roof repair work replacing felt as needed, cleaned gutters and then to finish relaid and mortared the ridge in.

Ridge fitted with Dry Ridge kit

This was part of a new roof we did on a house in Bingley. The ridge was relaid with a dry ridge kit. We also used top grade breathable felt alongside eaves protection trays and over fascia vents. This was to ensure not only a watertight roof but also a well ventilated roof. We relaid the roof with a mixture of the original slates alongside reclaimed.

New Slate Roof Specialists

We love redoing slate roofs, the picture is a Victorian Terrace in Bingley & our services for this job included carefully stripping the original roof off saving as much slate as possible, we then fully insulated the roof cavity before using high grade breathable felt & treated batons to rebuild, we slated with a mixture of reclaimed and the original slate using copper clout nails & redid all the lead work with code 4 lead. The chimney was recapped and pointed, ridge relaid & mortared in, finally gutters were mended & cleaned. Each new roof is tailor made to best meet that homes specific needs.

Chimney recapping & pointing

Over time mortar fails and water starts to seep through. We offer a chimney capping service remortaring and sealing water out, stopping damp patches from forming inside your homes walls. Recapping prevents debris, rain, and sparks from entering whilst restoring the chimney's structure and preventing water damage.

All types of Flat roofs

We provide a service for all types of flat roofing and flat roofs, from felt, to torch on felt, EPDM & Fibreglass. This picture is one of a torch on felt outhouse roof we redid. Torch on felt roofing is a flat roofing method that utilises a gas torch to melt and bond bitumen felt layers to a roof deck.
